Humain, trop humain
Louis Malle, René Vautier · 1973
Humain, trop humain (1973) is a French observational documentary co-directed by Louis Malle and René Vautier, filmed inside a Citroën car plant. With no narration, interviews, or music, it records the rhythms of assembly-line work — shifts, tools, gestures, pauses — over 73 minutes. Its power lies in sustained attention, not argument.
